Asa In Four Layers, c. 2008

Asa Shumskas-Tait is a writer, director, illustrator, backpacker, pumpkin pie maker, and generally nice guy. Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, Asa lived an idyllic life jumping into hay mounds and reading comic books, until he packed up his hobo sack and took off for sunny California. There he graduated from USC with a B.A. in Cinema-Television Production, where he met his future partners in both Psychic Bunny and Lead Balloon.

Since that fateful day he has written the Platinum Studios comic “Consumed,” directed the animated adaptation of children’s book “A Heart Full of Love,” and directed several live action productions for the US Army.  He produced Lead Balloon’s first feature, “The Echo Game,” as well as our web series, “Coma Period.”

He is currently working with writer Jesse Vigil on their next feature, “Midnight Daisy.”
